MailerMen is looking for talented Software Engineers with three to five years of professional experience to join our growing technology team on a remote contract basis.
What you will work on
You will work on modern web applications, user-facing products, APIs and scalable software solutions while collaborating with a distributed team. The work runs from building and maintaining responsive web applications, through developing reusable frontend components, to integrating REST APIs and third-party services.
The stack
JavaScript or TypeScript is the core of the role, with React.js, Next.js, Vue.js or a similar modern framework on the frontend. Experience with Node.js or other backend technologies counts for a lot here, as does working knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB, exposure to AWS, GCP or Azure, and comfort with CI/CD and deployment workflows.
How we work
This is a fully remote contract position on an international team, so working independently, communicating clearly and taking part in code reviews and technical discussions matter as much as the code itself. Compensation is set against the Singapore market and depends on experience, technical expertise and contract scope.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain modern, responsive web applications
- Develop reusable and high-quality frontend components
- Work with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks
- Collaborate with designers, developers and product teams
- Integrate REST APIs and third-party services
- Write clean, maintainable and scalable code
- Troubleshoot bugs and improve application performance
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Requirements
- Three to five years of professional software development experience
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with React.js, Next.js, Vue.js or similar frameworks
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS and responsive design
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Nice to have: Node.js or other backend technologies
- Nice to have: PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB
- Nice to have: AWS, GCP or Azure
- Nice to have: CI/CD and deployment workflows
- Nice to have: experience building SaaS products
